Farmington annual curbside leaf collection program underway
Farmington’s annual curbside leaf collection is now underway. The program began November 3 and will continue throughout November.
A collection map, showing scheduled dates by area, is available here. Each area will receive two pick-ups during the program.
Residents are reminded that the curbside leaf collection is a supplemental service and not a replacement for the City’s weekly yard waste collection provided by Waste Management (WM).
Important Reminders:
-
Leaves should be raked to the curb no sooner than 48 hours before the scheduled collection date.
-
Do not rake leaves into the street. Leaves in the street can cause drainage and traffic hazards.
-
In areas with multiple consecutive collection days, residents should have leaves out by the first scheduled day, as crews may not return daily.
-
During weeks when no curbside collection is scheduled, leaves should be placed in yard waste bags or labeled containers for pickup by WM.
-
All vehicles must be parked off the street between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on collection days to allow access for leaf crews.
This schedule is subject to change due to weather or operational factors. Any updates will be posted on the City’s website and social media channels.
