Happy International Women’s Day!

The City of Farmington is proud to recognize two of Farmington’s leading ladies who help guide and shape our community.

Mayor Pro Tem Johnna Balk was elected to City Council in 2021 and has served as Mayor Pro Tem since 2023. She also contributes her creativity and perspective on the Art Commission, helping support the arts in our community.

Maria was first elected to City Council in 2017 and was the driving force of the Bicentennial Committee when we celebrated 150 in 2024. She also serves on the Pathways Committee, working to enhance connectivity and outdoor experiences for residents.

These two leaders bring insight, collaboration, and dedication to public service, helping build a stronger community for everyone. Thank you, Johnna and Maria, for your commitment to Farmington and for inspiring the next generation of women leaders. 💜
