Jessica Westendorf named Downtown Development Executive Director

The Farmington Downtown Development Authority (DDA) Board of Directors has selected Jess Westendorf as the organization’s new Executive Director.

Jess joined the Farmington DDA team in 2019 as the Project Coordinator and has played a key role in advancing downtown Farmington ever since. Her work has included supporting public space initiatives, strengthening partnerships with local stakeholders, and organizing community events such as The Grand Raven Festival and one of her personal favorites, the Harvest Moon Celebration.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan and brings prior experience in merchandising and product management with a national retailer—skills that complement her approach to placemaking, economic vitality, and downtown business support.

“I believe public spaces and small businesses are what make a downtown truly thrive,” said Westendorf. “They’re where people come together, make memories, and feel connected to their community. I’m excited to keep building on that energy in Downtown Farmington—creating spaces that bring people in and support the local businesses we all love.”

A proud resident since 2011, Jess and her family chose Farmington after falling in love with its walkable downtown, amazing farmers market, and strong sense of community. She looks forward to continuing the work with Downtown Farmington in her new capacity as the Executive Director.
